| Redruth C.C AGM 2007 |
| After 14 years of committee work Tim Manhire decided it was time to stand down from committee life. Leaving a big whole to fill (no pun intended Tim) there were two worthy candidates for the role of Chair. First was past committee man and secretary Peter Sincock. Peter gave an excellent presentation highlighting his vision for Redruth CC over the coming years. Next was Sarah Stevens, Sarah is at present the social secretary for Redruth and ladies captain. Sarahs involvement in cricket is long, with her involvement in Redruth CC starting when her brother 'Buff' was captain of the 2nd XI. Sarah's both son Tom and Ben play for the club and as mention Sarah last year became the first Lady Captain of the newly form Reduth Ladies XI. Sarah's presentation was straight from the heart, she described her role and commitment to Redruth C.C with the passion we all see week in week out. After all the postal votes on members present votes were counted, Sarah was appointed as this years chairman of Redruth Cricket Club. Not sure if this is a first in Cornish cricket (hope it is), but the club is well represented with Barry Prisk (re-elected) as President, Sarah as Chair, Mark Richard (re-elected) as Treasurer, Neil Howarth (re-elect) Secretary and Malcholm Hambly (re-elected) Chair of social. Sarah in her first role as chair thanked tim for all is hard work over the years. The picture above see Sarah welcoming Peter Boland as the new 1st XI captain for the 2008 season.
