Stithians Watersports Centre
Established in April 2000, South West Lakes Trust is the South West's largest
conservation and recreation charity. It was created to encourage, promote and
enhance sustainable recreation, access, nature conservation and education on
and around over 50 inland waters in the South West for the benefit of all.
The Angling and Watersports Centre at Stithians Lake offers unrivalled watersports
facilities in the unique surroundings of West Cornwall. A favourite with windsurfers
and sailors due to its reputation as one of the windiest inland waters in England.
Stithians is also a fantastic location to learn a new watersports such as canoeing or
rowing. The centre offers fully qualified instructors for tuition in the activities available,
along with equipment hire and self launch facilities.
Full details of all the watersports activities at this lake can be found on our
watersports page at http://www.swlakestrust.org.uk/

Stithians has plenty for land lovers too; a children's play ship, a trim trail, circular walk
and a cycleway leading from the centre to the dam which is great for families. With
over five and a half miles of bank, walkers and bird watchers will enjoy the peaceful
surroundings and bird hides.
Fly fishing for trout is well catered for with season & day permits plus boat hire
available from the centre. An informal campsite is located near to the centre and
is ideal for those wishing to spend a weekend on the water.
