John Telford struck gold last weekend in the British Masters Track and Field Championships in Birmingham. Running in the 50-54 800 metres, John won by over one second, clocking 2 minutes 10.1 seconds.

At Birmingham illness prevented Neil Tunstall from appearing in his main event, the 400 metres hurdles on the Saturday but a below par did Neil did line up in the 45-49 200 metres on the Sunday, finishing 7th in the final in 25.21 seconds.
In June Neil represented Great Britain in the 400 metre hurdles in an Over 35 match between GB, Belgium and France which was held at Ashford in Kent. Neil finished 3rd, behind a 35 year old Frenchman, Patrice le Grange and a 40 year old GB runner, Glen Grey.

Neil will be hoping to add to his medal collectionin Slovenia
Neil is currently top of the GB and European rankings for Over 45s in the 400 metre hurdles (58,09) and his next major target is the European Masters Championships in Ljubljana, Slovenia at the end of July.
