The club has a strong road running section and competes regularly on a national as well as local level.
The men’s team runs the South of England and National 6 Stage Relays and the women’s team run their 4 and 6 Stage Relays. Both have finished in the top 20 in the country and are always one of the best South-West teams.

On a local level Cornwall AC compete in the Sandy Hill Physical Therapy Centre Cornish Grand Prix and in 2003, 2004 and 2005 won the men’s team title as well as providing the individual champions in Daniel Simons and Sharon Coyne (2003), Dave Buzza and Sharon Coyne (2004) and Tony Dunn (2005). A clean sweep of the Cornwall Mob Match was achieved in 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2005 with CAC winning most team and individual categories.
The club organises three road races, the Duchy Marathon being Cornwall’s longest running (the 31st in 2007). The Duchy Marathon and the Mid-Summer Turkey Trot are part of the Sandy Hill Physical Therapy Centre Cornish Grand Prix Series and there is also the Christmas Turkey Trot held in mid-December.

The club’s youngsters compete in area and national road relays as well as various road runs at local races, although most of their racing takes place on the country or the track.
Main training night is Tuesday at 7.00pm at the Carn Brea Leisure Centre track, when a large, multi-ability, multi-club mostly senior group, often comprising up to 30 runners, enjoy a track session. Smaller groups train on other days of the week.
